Lady Gem's Christmas Angel 1
Incredimail Letter Tutorial.
Items you will need are:
An image of an Angel no larger than 350 X 388
Slat Tube From Donna Thank you Donna
My Super Blade Pro Presets file size is 19.57kb
The full set of Xero Plugins file size is 3.5mb
Step 1:
Open your Angel Image.
Step 2:
Open your slat tube and make copy then close the original.
Step 3:
I am using the dc-slat13.
Step 4:
Resize your canvas to 600 X 600 and use center so your slats are in the center of the canvas.
Step 5:
In the layer control box right click the layer and duplicate the layer.
Step 6:
Turn off the top layer and then make the bottom layer the active layer.
Step 7:
Make your selection tool the active tool, then go Selections/Select All and then touch anywhere on the bottom layer slates.
Step 8:
Go Selections/Modify/Expand and type in the number 5.
Step 9:
Floods fill the expanded slats with white.
Step 10:
Using Super Blade Pro plugin and a preset of your own create gold slats or you may use mine that you downloaded.
Step 11:
Make your top layer the active layer and using your magic wand select and the shift key select all the slats.
Step 12:
Set your foreground color to pattern and choose your angel image to flood the slats. With your fill bucket click on each slat starting on the left hand side. You will see that your image fills the slats nicely. Do Not Deselect yet.
Step 13:
Go Effects/Plugins/Xero and apply the porcelain with the settings below.
Step 14:
In the layer control right click either layer and merge visible.
Step 15:
Crop the image as close the all sides as possible.
Step 16:
Make your angel image the active image and really zoom in until you can see the actual pixels. Choose one for your foreground color and one for your background color. A lighter shade for your foreground and a darker one for your background.
Step 17:
First we need to resize our image. I like to use %'s when resizing and also the bicubic setting. Resize the image to around 300 pixels wide you will see the numbers right there on the resize screen.
Step 18:
You will have to sharpen your image and the sharpening works better using Un-Sharp Mask. Go Adjust/Sharpness/Unsharp Mask and use the settings below.
Step 19:
Add and new layer and then move that new layer to the bottom of the layer control.
Step 20:
Resize the canvas again the 1024 X the height of your image.
Step 21:
Add a new layer and then move the new layer to the bottom and flood fill it with your darker color.
Step 22:
Give your bottom layer some texture I used Paint Engine to texture mine. Use what ever you wish but do add some texture.
Step 23:
Go Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling use settings below.
Step 24:
Add a drop shadow to your border image if you want too. I think it looks really good with out one.
Step 25:
Merge all layers. Add your watermark and your ready to create your "Incredimail Letter"
Step 24:
Make your pick tool the active tool. Click on the top layer in the layer control box. Starting in the upper left corner resize the angel border a little. Enough so that you have some space all around the border image.
Step 25:
Save your image to where ever you keep your Incredimail images that you use for your letters.
Step 26:
Close your PSP now and open up your Letter Creator.
Step 27:

Click on Footer tab and do your thing here is what I have.
Step 29:
Save your letter and then add it to your collection.
