This is a "Long" Tutorial so be patient with yourself and remember to "Save" often. I recommend saving after each step so you don't lose anything if somethings causes your PSP to shut down.
Skill Level:
Beginner to Advanced
Items needed to complete this Tutorial:
Paint Shop Pro Any Version
One Image of your choice to eventually frame with your Diamond Glory
A Plugin of your choice such as Super Blade Pro, EyeCandy 4000, or just one of PSP's own filters
Special Note: Be sure to save often as you are working with a very large size working canvas!
Step 1:
In order to create this "Diamond Glory" Frame you will need a large size canvas to work with in the beginning. Open a new document in PSP the size should be 700 X 700 and it should be transparent. Flood the image with white and then add a new layer. Why the new layer? It is needed so that you can see better. It can be deleted at the end of the tutorial or once we have finished creating the frame.
Step 2:
You will need to turn on your "rulers and your grid" so you can see better for the placement of the diamond(s) that will create the beginnings of your frame.
if you use the keyboard short cuts you will save time. Keyboard short cuts shown on left side of the screen shot.
Step 3:
Let's change the size of our grid as well. Go View/Change Grid, Guide & Snap Properties. Change your settings to what you see in the screen shot.

Step 4:
Now we can start building our Diamond Glory Frame. Make your Preset Shapes Tool the active tool and choose the diamond shape. Draw out a diamond who's top and bottom points touch the grid line at the top and the bottom. When you draw your first diamond start in the upper left corner of one of the grids and draw in a diagonal fashion to the opposite corner of the same grid square, if you need too you should also make sure that the sides of your diamond are touching the sides of the grid square like below.
