Step 14:
Using your Magic Wand tool and holding down your "Shift Key" touch the empty spaces just inside the outer frame of diamonds. Then go Selections/Modify/Expand and type in the number 2 click ok. Do not deselect just yet.

Step 15:
Go Selections/Promote Selection to Layer. If you use short cuts enough eventually you will remember them. Do Not Deselect yet.

Step 16:
Go Selections/Modify/Expand and type in the number 3.

Step 17:
Open up the image you are going to be framing and with the eye dropper tool pick a nice color from the image for your foreground color. Then using the Paint Bucket tool flood the 4 quadrants with that color. Now if you want you can add some texture to those colored quadrants while they are still selected.
Step 18:
Drag the new layer down below the bottom layer.
Step 19:
Make the Merged Layer the active layer and erase those small points in the center of the frame. Be very careful not to erase any part of the diamond shapes. You should end up with the image on the right side in the screen shots.
