Page Three

Step 8:
Now you need to merge the visible layers to in your layer palette right click on any layer and choose Merge/Visible.
Step 9:
Now that you have the first star framed you must increase the Canvas Size. Do as you did in Step 4 only this time increase the canvas size to 700 X 700 with the image in the center as before.

Now we have to use a Vector Shape. Don't groan I can just hear it now LOL.

Step 10:
Make your pre-set shapes tool active. Make your background color Null and your foreground color White. Then starting in the Upper Left Corner go diagonally down to the Bottom Right Corner to create your star try not to touch any of the outside edges. Use the settings below for your Pre-Set Shape Star.

Choose Star 2 Settings for Star 2

Step 11:
Go Objects/Align/Center in Canvas.
Align Star to Center Canvas

Step 12:
On the layer palette right click on the vector layer and choose Convert to Raster.
Step 13:
Make the image layer the active layer and then using the Deform Tool resize the framed star so that it fits nicely inside the large white star.
Step 14:
Make the White Star the active layer again, then using the eye dropper tool pick a color from with in the image and set it as your foreground color. Now use your Magic Wand Tool and click inside the center of the large white star then use your Flood Tool to fill the center. ( if you are uncomfortable with doing that with the image showing you may click on the "Eye" on the Layer palette next to the image layer then flood fill the White Star with your chosen color).
Step 15:
Click on the image layer again to make it the active layer ( if you clicked on the eye to hide the image, click it again the make it visible). Go Effects/3 D/Drop Shadow and apply a drop shadow of your choice to the inside star. Do a second Drop Shadow only reverse your settings.
Step 16:
Click on the White Star layer again then with your Magic Wand touch the White part of the Star to select the Star. Now use the same Blade Pro, Super Blade Pro or Eye Candy setting that you use for the first star. Now you may Merge/Visible. Resize to a nice size for you and your done.
